A child would act according to the law of the home. The role model of a boy may be his father and the role model of a girl may be her mother.However, some people are born with a special gift or attribute which can be termed as a role model. For example, one may feel that being aware of the passing time, can be called as a role model. Others may have great imagination or a talent for an art. One's interest in education can also be regarded as a role model.Most people would agree that being sensitive and polite is a role model. Being a person of great value and character is also a good role model. Many parents would agree that their child should be sensitive and polite.On the other hand, some people might claim that to act in a negative manner is not a role model. They say that it is good to show people how to behave but a person who shows negative behavior must be kicked out from society.Now, how would we identify a role model? When a person behaves in accordance with the social norms, he is a role model. Someone who is kind and gives advice or help to others is a role model.It is only when certain acts are performed in accordance with the social norms that it becomes a role model. How do we know that someone is a role model? All we need to do is to look at someone and see if he or she is acting in accordance with the social norms. Now, if someone keeps on acting contrary to the social norms, it would be very difficult to identify him as a role model.How would we know if someone is a role model? We can find many examples of roles model in the newspapers. We can find many role models in the television or on the Internet.When a person gives charity to children or is considered as a role model by all people who see him, then he becomes a role model. A person who acts in a positive manner and behaves wel l to others is also a role model. However, it is very difficult to determine who a role model is. The best way to identify such a person is to look at him and see if he is behaving in accordance with the social norms.
